Importance Of Using Good Quality Medical Lights

  • Quinsey
  • 0 ( comments )

We all know that choosing medical lights can be a confusing, with many brands on the market at attractive prices.

Three main reasons to choose a quality examination light over a cheaper alternative.

  • As most LED examination lights these days have a good light output(Lux Level), cheaper lights have a low colour rendering index(CRI) which is an indicator of showing colours in natural daylight. eg skin colours and tone. The Derungs examination lights have a CRI of (Ra> 95, R13> 90) which is of a very high standard.

  • Long service life, safe and economical, low power consumption, built-in converter, maintenance-free housing, high-quality aluminium arm system and durable
friction joints. Both the Maggylamp and Derungs lights have these features.

  • By using a quality light, patients will be assured of a quality work.

Setting up examination lights for healthcare

  • Quinsey
  • 0 ( comments )

Light is an essential requirement in modern medicine.

The choice of an appropriate lighting solution may be facilitated in a decisive manner by carrying out different lighting calculations and visualisations. A global idea of the luminances and their distribution is therefore available right from the beginning of the study. This allows the architect and user to realistically understand a solution’s feasibility and will help in the decision making.

Redbank Medical Group can solve yor lighting needs with our “one-source” solutions:

  • The same lighting system can be used for the reception, the corridors, the rooms, the bathroom facilities, stairwells and day rooms.
  • This leaves the eye plenty of time to adjust to the given light level.
  • Very easy up-keep and maintenance with few tools thanks to the similar structure for the luminaires.
  • Project visualisation to help decision making.
  • Professional assistance for lighting calculations.
  • Adapted lighting for individual needs.

The professional planning of illumination requires considerable expertise and partnership.

We can assist you in specific projects and to elaborate a detailed lighting concept.

Lighting for veterinary medicine

Solutions for veterinary practices and clinics

You have a passion for animals. We have a passion for good lighting.

While you quietly take care of your patients, we take care of you. Optimal lighting is a very important component in the everyday operation of a veterinary facility.

Lighting for the perfectionist.

Veterinary science places high demands on the human eye and its visual performance. Proper illumination supports focused work, low shadows and low heat generation.

Good treatment is always preceded by good diagnostics. As with human medicine the veterinary medicine requires perfect illumination for treatment, examination and surgical operations. Good light keeps concentration up and eye fatigue down.

 Special Skin Diagnosis.

The skin is the barrier that protects the body against harmful influences. Damage caused by bacteria, fungal infections, viruses or parasites can result in skin diseases that require treatment. In veterinary practices, magnifier luminaires are also used routinely to aid in diagnoses or in performing procedures such as removing foreign bodies or sutures from the skin.

Daylight for every room.

A homogenous low-shadow room illumination positively affects the room perception and creates a soothing effect. Professionally planned lighting lets small or shallow rooms appear optically larger.

We offer complete solutions specifically adapted to our clients’ demands. Derungs examination and treatment luminaires offer operational flexibility, high energy efficiency and a unique design. State-of-the-art light technology guarantees ideal examination conditions. Illuminance, light colour and colour rendering of the luminaires can be individually adapted to the prevailing conditions.

When DHI were setting up their first clinic in Australia in Macquarie St, Sydney they wanted a quality surgery light for their hair implant work.

DHI asked consultants from Redbank Group to offer the best solution for their clinic.

They chose the Visiano, made by Derungs –Switzerland. This LED examination light has 2 selectable colour temperatures and dimming which is ideal for giving good colour rendition on the human scalp.

“The Visiano light has been ideal as it remains cooler than the  traditional halogen surgery lights and therefore does not dehydrate the skin tissue during our procedures” – Mikko-Operations Manager (DHI Australia)

The Visano is very easy to position with its 360 degree rotatable light head giving total freedom of movement.

Sound Veterinary Equipment had the Derungs LED examination lights on display at the Pan Pacific Vet Conference held at the Brisbane Exhibition Centre in May. This conference is only held every 5 years and is the largest vet trade display in Australia. Exhibiting here was imperative, so that vets could see the latest in LED examination lights. The Derungs lights that were displayed was the Visiano and the Halux LED. It was great to see Ron (from Sound) and his staff demonstrate these lights so professionally. Redbank had two staff members there to field questions and support the light demonstrations. The vets were impressed with the features of the Visiano, mainly the dimming and colour change.
